Blake Lively Calls On Designer Pals For Her Fash-Tastic Wedding: Marchesa, Christian Louboutin AND Burberry’s Christopher Bailey

Thanks to the Martha Stewart Weddings blog, we now know all the deets behind Blake Lively’s fashwan wedding

The Gossip Girl actress got hitched to Ryan Reynolds this weekend and although we were convinced she’d wear either a Chanel or Gucci wedding dress (considering she’s the campaign star for both mega brands), Blake instead opted to wear a gown custom made by Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.

How fabulous! We’re envisioning a full skirt and frothy tulle while reports suggest the dress featured a hand-draped silk bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery. BUT the pictures won’t be released until December. Hmph

We also know that the bridesmaids went matchy-matchy, walking up the aisle in blush silk chiffon Marchesa frocks with crystal embroidered detail while Blake’s BFF Christian Louboutin created the bridal heels.

And the groom? We have every Ryan looked suitably dapper considering none other than Christopher Bailey knocked up a Burberry suit with custom leather suspenders for him and the groomsmen.

As for the wedding rings, they came courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz. It’s like a scene straight from Gossip Girl, no?

And who better to organise your wedding than the ultimate home goddess, Martha Stewart? Blake’s known for her love of homemaking so it makes the perfect fit and Martha’s team, the website says, worked to bring her fantasy wedding to life.

Aw. The happy Hollywood couple opted for an intimate, personalised ceremony that took place at a rustic barn in South Carolina.

A ‘fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception’ followed to create ‘a truly enchanting celebration’. Doesn’t it sound magical? How on earth are we going to wait till December for those pics?!
